kempton Racecourse

Kempton hosts 95 fixtures per year on both the all-weather and over the jumps. Major races include the George VI Chase ran on Boxing Day, the Christmas Hurdle ,Feltham Novices’ Chase and Desert Orchid Chase. The course is located in Sunbury-on-Thames and is ony 16 miles from the centre of London, with it’s own train station and rail links direct to the city centre.

Kempton Park has been hosting race meetings since 1878 and has developed into one of the UK’s busiest courses with 95 race meetings per year. Although the majority of the racing is on the all-weather polytrack, Kempton is also famous for hosting some high class National Hunt jumps racing through the winter months, including the highlight of the calendar the Winter Festival which includes the Grade 1 King George VI Chase on Boxing Day and Christmas Hurdle. The course hosts 85 all-weather flat race meetings over the year and is well known for its twilight and evening racing on the polytrack throughout the winter months under floodlights. The course is located in Sunbury-on-Thames and is ony 16 miles from the centre of London.
